Guided Elk, Deer and moose Hunts into the Colorado Wilderness
Our hunts take place deep in the Powderhorn Primitive Area of Colorado Game Units 66 and 67 in Gunnison County — big country with big opportunity. You’ll stay in a sturdy tent base camp that you can reach by motor vehicle, but once you’re here, it’s all about the mountains.
Our horses pack you into the high country and get you where the elk live. In the later seasons, we can switch it up to motorized transportation to keep you mobile and in the game.
The Powderhorn Wilderness has a reputation for producing bulls and bucks that hunters dream about for years. Our guides work hard, glass hard, and push hard to put you in the best position possible for that once‑in‑a‑lifetime shot.
If you prefer to run your own hunt, we also offer rugged, well‑equipped drop camps for the do‑it‑yourself hunter.
With changes coming to Colorado’s draw system in 2028, now’s the time to think about using those preference points.
Unit 66 is often cited as perhaps the premier mule deer trophy unit in Colorado for quality genetics and potential big bucks. The tags are very limited and require high preference points (Often 20+ years to draw). This unit has great habitat, winter range, and remote terrain that supports huge bucks (190”+ possible).
Guided Eastern Plains Hunts
Our Eastern Plains hunts put you right in the heart of wide‑open country where Antelope, Mule Deer, and Merriam’s Turkey thrive. This is big‑sky terrain built for spot‑and‑stalk action, long glassing sessions, and the kind of encounters that get your pulse up fast.
The Plains offer exceptional opportunity and visibility, giving hunters the chance to size up animals, make a plan, and execute a clean shot. Whether you’re chasing speed goats across rolling grasslands, tracking heavy‑horned muleys, or calling in hard‑gobbling Merriams, this is classic Western hunting at its finest.
